Voting in the 2022 Rhode Island General Election

In the 2022 session, the legislature passed the Let RI Vote Act, which increased access to voting for Rhode Islanders. For voting resources such as applying for mail ballots, registering to vote, and finding your polling place, visit https://vote.sos.ri.gov

THERE ARE THREE WAYS TO VOTE THIS YEAR:

1. BY MAIL BALLOT

   • Return your general election mail ballot application by October 18

   • Click to apply for a mail ballot

2. AT City hall during early voting period

   • When: Early Voting Period is Wednesday, October 19, 2022 – Monday, November 7, 2022

   • Where: Newport City Hall - 43 Broadway , ground floor, far left, directly in front of elevator

     • Please Note Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

3. IN-PERSON ON NOVEMBER 8

   • Register to vote by October 9
